Review: Counted with the Stars ( Out of Egypt book 1) by Connilyn Cossette

Kiya, a young Egyptian woman hoped to marry the man she loved; a man with rank in Pharaohs army. Her life is turned upside down when her father sells her to his friend as a slave because his business fails. As a slave, she has to work for the demanding and cruel wife of her father’s friend. Kiya works with a Hebrew woman,Shira, who she becomes friends with and will save Kiya from her mistresses wrath. When the plagues come to Egypt, Kiya and all the Egyptians are frightened. To save her brother, Kiya leaves everything to go with Shira and the rest of the Jewish people into the wilderness. Egypt and the comforts it offers tempt Kiya to return, but eventually she learns to accept the Hebrew God as her own. I loved this book! Interesting to read a biblical fiction about a woman not mentioned in the Bible, but one who could have been there. I liked the historical and faith elements and the bond between the characters. I look forward to reading the second book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #biblicalfiction #christianfiction #fiction #historicalfiction
