The Bride Of Ivy Green ( Tales From Ivy Hill book 3) by Julie Klassen

The final book in the Tales From Ivy Hill series, the protagonists from the first two books are going through changes in their lives. Mercy Grove has closed her school because her brother and his new wife have taken over the cottage she and her Aunt lives in. The snooty new wife makes things a tad difficult for Mercy and she takes an offer to be the governess to the little girl, Alice, that she had grown attached to. She moves to the house that Alice and her father live in and teaches the girl while weathering attentions from Alice’s father and Joseph Kingsley, who Mercy has feelings for. Meanwhile her friend Jane will finally decide to marry her beau, Gabriel Locke, after he has an accident. Her father comes back from India, much to the surprise of Jane, and he has a surprise of his own: he had a son with the Indian woman he married after Jane’s mother died. Jane has to work out her feelings about her father being back in her life and manage the changes her marriage and family make in it. Rachel, also newly wed, has concerns of her own. Her Sister-in-law is trying to please her mother by marrying the man Lady Brockwell wants her to. Rachel suspects Justina does not love the man and she is right. A mysterious woman opens a dress shop in town and some of the people think they have saw her before, and questions are raised about who she is. Everything is revealed in the end and the series is drawn to a satisfying conclusion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5.  #regency #fiction #historicalfiction
