The Story Raider ( The Weaver Trilogy #2) by Lindsay Franklin

This pick up right where the first book left off. Garett the impostor king is imprisoned and his daughter Braith is chosen to rule. Braithis nothing like her father and a friend to Tanwen, her father and her friends. Tanwen is upset when her father and friends are to go on a mission for the Queen and she is not. They also have to find a cure for an ailing Gryfelle. Tanwen makes it on board the ship anyway and becomes a complication for Mor, the man she likes. They go to distant places in the empire to find story strands to make the cure. A darkness is following them and tries to destroy the ship they are on. The stands are collected and the cure is made but the evil that is following them attacks them. A beloved member of the weaver group sacrifices themselves to save the others and a family member of Mor is found. Braith has her own challenges to face meanwhile. Another claimant to the throne comes to the court, but she eventually sees that she can trust him. Dark forces are at work to destabilize the kingdom using Tanwen’s childhood friend as an unwitting pawn. Peasants rebellion and attack the palace, endangering Braith and her court. A fast paced story with a couple new characters that are introduced and are interesting. A good ending setting up for the final book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5. #fantasy #fiction #christianfiction
