Beyond the Desert Sands by Tracie Peterson

Isabella Garcia is resentful of her parents for moving their family from California to New Mexico. When she can she goes back to California to live with her Aunt. A few years later, she reluctantly has to return to Silver Springs, the town that her father is the manager of. Her father sent Aaron Bailey, a close business associate of his to accompany her home. Isabella resents this as she resents everything about her parents. Aaron had overheard a argument between Isabella and her father a few years back that made him think that Isabella was selfish and conceited toward her father. The journey to bring Isabella home doesn’t change his opinion, but she has grown up to be beautiful. Isabella dislikes Aaron and longs for Diego, a man in California who she wants to marry. Diego is the son of a rich man who is friends with Isabella’s father and after a tragic death happens in California, Diego decides to go see Isabella. She is glad to see Diego, but her parents know what his character is really like and don’t like him. To Isabella this is one more thing to resent her parents for, but slowly her attitude changes. She does regret her attitude and actions toward her parents, especially when she finds out her father is dying and why they left California in the first place. Isabella repairs her relationship with God and her parents and stops resenting Aaron as well. Aaron sees the change in her and despite himself, has feelings for Isabella that are reciprocated, much to her father’s delight. I really liked this book. I thought Isabella’s growth was really well done and liked how her parents were so patient with her when she was not loving to them. And I liked how Aaron and Isabella worked out their relationship and how they honored God and her father. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. #christianfiction #fiction #westernfiction #books
